Marketing and Advertisement of Tesla Inc â⬠MyAssignmenthelp.com
Question: Discuss about the Marketing and Advertisement of Tesla Inc. Answer: Introduction: Marketingis one of the most complex and widely used concept in our current business environment. It is the activity, set of institutions, and processes for creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that have value for customers, clients, partners, and society at large (AMA, 2013). Organizations would findmarketing an inseparable aspect of their daily transactions. Before any product is manufactures, an analysis of customer needs is done. Once the product is manufactured, it needs to reach consumers as per their demands. This demand and supply then need to be well managed with the help of efficient advertising and alluring promotions. All these are aspects of Marketing. Previously, I had the narrow definition of marketing being related to advertisement and selling of products only. Having realised the broader scope of marketing, I find that it is underlying everywhere in this age of globalisation. $0 Marketing by Tesla: While studying, one of the most stunning concepts I have discovered related to advertisement is the $0 budget marketing done by Tesla Inc. By that I mean Tesla had no budget allocated for advertisement of its electric vehicles. However, not having any advertisement was being the greatest advertisement for Tesla after it was recognized in market. Tesla has used the oldest marketing concept of Word of mouth and designed innovative referral schemes (Extole Inc., 2017). The efficiency of this model is evidenced by the fact that 253,000 cars were pre-booked in the first 36 hours (Inc., 2016). Needs, Wants and Demands: One of the concepts that I found confusing in marketing was the concept of needs, wants and demands itself. More specifically, I could not differentiate between wants and demands. After researching on them I came to understand that wants are simply Desires and demands as Desires + buying power (MaketingMix, 2017). After having the clear picture of these three, I believe I can become a consumer who makes better decisions by clearly recognizing the needs, wants and demands. DeMarketing: As a consumer, I always believed that every organization wants to promote their products in order to increase sales. However, we were taught a pioneering concept of De marketing. Upon detailed study, I realized de marketing is done by numerous organization to cope with unwanted demand or overflow of demand (Kotler, 2009). This helps marketers to shape demand in order to conform to long run objectives rather than blindly chasing high sales. Marketing Environment: Marketing is a complex concept and a large number of components are involved in it rather than just the firm and the consumer. The importance of monitoring the environmental factors impacting an individual business is fundamental to effective marketing (Academy of Marketing studies journal, 2013). After attending lectures, I was taught that many actors are involved in marketing of any product or service. For example Government support is required by every organization at every step. Firms take assistance of various media agencies in order to promote their product or service. Financial consultants also help organizations to arrange finances and guide them about the right investing options. According to Kotler (2009), marketing environment consists of the actors and forces outside organization that affect marketing management's ability to develop and maintain successful transactions with its target customers. Factors affecting Demand: It was often believed that the sales of any product depends on buying power and need of the consumer and supply created by producers. However, this is not enough. My lectures gave me a much clear idea about how the demand is created and what are the factors that impact the demand. Changing demographic scenarios, increasing use of technology and economic environment are also considered by marketers to promote their products to the right audience in the right manner. Rise in the number of working women, a steady decline in household size and an increase in single parent family or families with no children are few of the demographic changes that the country is currently experiencing. Similarly rising interest and consumption patterns also impact the demand of products. For example financial crisis that hit Asia in 1997-1998 adversely affected Hong Kong tourism (Journal of travel and tourism marketing, 2002). It is imperative that marketers keep this in mind before formulating any strate gy for product promotions. Consumer buying pattern: Learning about buying habits of consumer was the other thing which was essential for me. I learnt about the decision making process of a consumer when he or she buys any product. Buying behaviour suggests that consumers buy some products without thinking about it, some products giving a little consideration and after reading that I noticed that I would often buy small things out of habits without giving much consideration while some other things I would consider for few days. Marketers would spend a lot of time and money researching on these buying habits of the consumers due to ever changing demands of consumers. Extensive research on consumer buying behaviour helps marketers advertise their products in a proficient manner leading to increased sales. Demand Management I had no idea about the various kinds of demands but after these lectures I came to understand how many types of demands are there and how marketers make use of this information to promote their products. Negative demands involves those products or services where not only does the consumer not want the product but is also willing to pay a price to avoid it. Like many consumers spend monthly on dental check-ups in order to avoid dental surgery. Irregular demand refers to seasonal or occasional demands of products example rising sale of costumes during Halloween and extra demand of chocolates and sweets during specific festivals. Predominantly, it involves prioritizing demand when supply is lacking (SCRC, 2002). Conclusion: Marketing is one of the most important factors that impacts organizations. Changing marketing scenario in the era of globalization has helped the right products, reach the right consumers, in the right way and at the right time. Our lectures have been extremely useful in helping me gain an insight on how consumers buy products and how marketers use information in order to promote and advertise products. As a consumer, these lectures have been extremely beneficial and will surely help me make a better buying choice and use my bargaining power as a consumer in this organization. I think I have learnt a lot about marketing in past few weeks. This understanding will be useful for me to carefully select new products in future. Moreover, it will also allow me to make wise decisions free from temptations of different advertisements. This will help me save cost and increase consuming efficiency. Blackstar by David Bowie free essay sample
A man who never seemed of this Earth. A gender bender. A game changer in the music industry. A mastermind of creativity. These all describe the incomparable David Bowie. For decades he bedazzled audiences with his unforgettable hits and numerous personas. Whether he was calling out to Major Tom or entering the room as his alter ego Ziggy Stardust, Bowie was born to entertain. In January, he sadly left our planet too soon, but he left us a parting gift: ââ¬Å"Blackstarâ⬠is Bowieââ¬â¢s 25th and final album. It was released on his 69th birthday, just two days before his death. ââ¬Å"Blackstarâ⬠contains a mere seven songs (two of which are remastered versions of previously released songs), but the passion that Bowie put into all of his musical endeavors is evident here. Our final journey inside the bizarre and imaginative mind of David Bowie begins with the titular ââ¬Å"Blackstar.â⬠This nearly 10-minute song tells the story of an untimely death (sound familiar?). We will write a custom essay sample on Blackstar by David Bowie or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page In fact, it contains almost prophetic lyrics: ââ¬Å"Something happened on the day he died/Spirit rose a metre and stepped aside/Somebody else took his place, and bravely cried ââ¬ËIââ¬â¢m a blackstar, Iââ¬â¢m a blackstar.ââ¬â¢Ã¢â¬ Bowie insists throughout the song that life is a cycle, even incorporating multiple transitions by starting in the genre of art rock and then transforming into bluesy jazztronica, and all coming together by the end. It is the perfect way to musically describe a lifeââ¬â¢s evolution. The next song, ââ¬Å"ââ¬â¢Tis Pity She Was a Whore,â⬠is one of the two that have been remastered. The original was an explosion of loud cannons and an obnoxious ââ¬â¢80s-style score. Although war was the focus, it sounded like an old Super Mario video game. I could barely hear Bowie sing the chorus beneath the distractions. This new version still has some ââ¬â¢80s hidden in it, but it has more of an all-around rock sound. Banging drums and bla ring trumpets seem to cry as Bowie sings with a haunting yet angelic voice. This gives new purpose to the tale of betrayal by a woman in a time of tragedy. The next song, ââ¬Å"Lazarus,â⬠has a jazzy style but if carefully examined, it also gives listeners eerie hints that Bowie is dying. Itââ¬â¢s as if he is writing his own obituary. He tells listeners about his career in a race against time. He is struggling to write his final work as disease overtakes him. The second remastered song is ââ¬Å"Sue (Or in a Season of Crime).â⬠The original was like an old mystery noir set in the middle of city life, which complimented the crime premise in the song. The newer version has more rock ââ¬â¢nââ¬â¢ roll but now sounds like a fast-paced action movie. Is that a problem? Not at all. It brings a stronger interpretation to the songââ¬â¢s meaning. It sharpens Bowieââ¬â¢s accusation that his lover betrayed him and intensifies his mission to get her back. A refreshing ta ste of Bowie returns with ââ¬Å"Girl Loves Me.â⬠The artist was well-known for his out-of-this-world artistic style, and this song is no exception. Itââ¬â¢s a futuristic ecstasy filled with echoes and lyrics that canââ¬â¢t be put into a proper language. However, that doesnââ¬â¢t make it any less enjoyable. In fact, itââ¬â¢s like the language in ââ¬Å"A Clockwork Orange.â⬠Like the iconic novel, ââ¬Å"Girl Loves Meâ⬠is an entertaining, avant-garde masterpiece. It contains amorous feelings and enough energy for listeners to be moved. The crisp sound of crinkling dollars starts ââ¬Å"Dollar Days.â⬠The bluesy piano and saxophone make the listener imagine that Bowie is at an open mic in a coffee house. Itââ¬â¢s a sad song in which Bowie contemplates his successes and regrets. The albumââ¬â¢s journey concludes with ââ¬Å"I Canââ¬â¢t Give Everything Away.â⬠The song has an end-of-the-journey feel. The score is rock meets new age with a h int of harmonica. Itââ¬â¢s like a trip down memory lane. Bowie is trying to say good-bye with lyrics such as ââ¬Å"I know something is very wrong/The pulse returns for prodigal sons/The blackoutââ¬â¢s hearts with flowered news/With skull designs upon my shoes.â⬠He is very ill and death is calling, but heââ¬â¢s not willing to share it with the public yet. He is saying that whatever happens, happens. He needs privacy so he can have the peace that he deserves in his final days. ââ¬Å"Blackstarâ⬠is the cherry on top of Bowieââ¬â¢s long and flavorful artistic journey. This album is a celebration of a beautiful life. Bowie considers what is to become of him while incorporating some old favorites along the way. I recommend ââ¬Å"Blackstarâ⬠to longtime fans and music lovers in general. David Bowie is a legend who must never be forgotten. He inspired others not only to pursue music but to understand that itââ¬â¢s good to be different. He will surely be mis sed.

link essays
link essays A Tale of Two Cities and Things Fall Apart are both novels of social protest. Both novels are focused largely on class struggle. The broad theme of class struggle is important, but it is also important to note how Madame and Monsieur Defarge react to the unjust monarchy in revolutionary France compared with Okonkwos reactions to the class struggles in the Ibo tribe. This comparison is important because these characters actions set the tone of the respective novels. Class struggle motivates Okonkwos aspirations and the Defarges retaliations. The privileges that come with being a higher classed member of society roused Okonkwo to strive for higher social standing. These same privileges inflamed Madame Defarge to plot the downfall of the wealthy. Class struggle was the cause for Okonkwos inner turmoil as well as the French Revolution. In A Tale of Two Cities Dickens writes about how in late 18Th century France, peasant "scarecrows" starved while nobility and royalty treated themselves to every indulgence. "For the time was to come, when the gaunt scarecrows of that region should have watched the lamplighter, in their idleness and hunger, so long, as to conceive the idea of improving on his method, and hauling up men by those ropes and pulleys, to flare upon the darkness of their condition. But, the time was not come yet; and every wind that blew over France shook the rags of the scarecrows in vain, for the birds, fine of song and feather, took no warning" (Dickens, 27). Because of the suffering and hunger that faced them, the peasant harbored great hatred and resentment towards nobility. This struggle between social classes was a prominent theme in not only Dickens's work, but in Chinua Achebe's as well. "Among these people, a man was judged according to his worth" (Achebe, 8). In Things Fall Apart, Achebe shows the Ibo as having definite boundaries between social classes. Men were judged based o...

Impeachment of two U.S. Presidents, Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton Essay
Impeachment of two U.S. Presidents, Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton - Essay Example A number of U.S Presidents were impeached from office, but the paper focuses on the comparison between Bill Clintonââ¬â¢s impeachment with Richard Nixonââ¬â¢s in the 1970s. In 1974, the United States court case against Richard Nixon took place. The Judiciary Committee passed three articles, but Nixon resigned from power prior to the vote by the whole House. The first article in accusation of Nixon stated that he had made misleading and false statements to try and cover up the Watergate allegation. Watergate was one of the plushest Hotels in Washington, yet its scandal was identified with the unlawful activities of the Nixon administration. It was carried out by five men employed by the re-election of Nixonââ¬â¢s campaign. It was organized to repair refined bugging instruments in the entire Democratic Party headquarters. The five men were paid with funds allocated for the Nixon re-election campaign. Investigations finally revealed that the administration upheld a ââ¬Å"secre t intelligence fundâ⬠to probe political players and had intentionally spoiled Democratic campaigns by formulating leaks to the press. The second article argued that Nixon had breached the lawful rights of citizens and obstructed the due and right administration of justice. Clause three provided that Nixon failed to give some required information and papers to the House Judiciary committee. On the other hand, Bill Clintonââ¬â¢s charges in the U.S court case took place in 1998. Three articles of impeachment were created by the House Judiciary Committee, though just two were approved by the entire House. At the time when the articles were conveyed to the Senate, the number of majority vote of two thirds was not attained to make it possible to convict Clinton. The foremost item approved by the House gave the reason that Clinton had dishonored the constitutional oath by demoralizing the integrity of office as well as betraying his trust as the American President. Monica Lewinsky ââ¬â¢s sexual relationship with President Clinton was one of the reasons for his impeachment. Central to the entire scandal were claims that Lewinsky performed oral sex on Clinton. After the immunity test, Clinton was found innocent and resumed office. The other reason provided in the second article was that Clinton prevented, hindered, and obstructed the management of justice. The most notable fact in this case is that Nixon resigned but Clinton ignored the pressure and took it to an appeal and won the case. Nixon decided that he had to resign because he no longer had a strong political support in the Congress to enable him complete his term in Power. To him, the move was for the sake of the American citizensââ¬â¢ interests. On the other hand, Clinton made it clear that he was not ready to voluntarily leave office. He rejected the plea to resign even before the requests for him to step down were made. Again, he could not confess to breaking the law by lying under pledge conce rning his affair with Lewinsky, in the last hours of his impeachment. Clinton maintained that he had not committed perjury. From the above accounts, the differences between the reasons for impeaching the two presidents are clear. However, some similarities can be observed. Rationally, the articles state that both Clinton and Nixon obstructed and impeded the administration of justice. In addition, the two
